The Proposal

 

 

When Chase proposed to me, it is safe to say it was a complete surprise and absolutely took my breath away. He had been planning this day with my family and close friends for weeks, and little did I know it would turn out to be one of the most special evenings of my life. For those who do not know, Chase had moved to Shreveport, Louisiana about six months ago. The time spent apart had certainly not been easy. The date that marked our three year anniversary of dating was fast approaching, which was also Father's Day weekend. I had gone home to Athens to visit my dad and went out to dinner that friday evening. I came home in the car with my family and as we pulled into our driveway Chase walks out of my parent's home. As I am absolutely stunned, he embraces me and tells me he wants to take a walk. He took me behind the house into a gorgeous grassy field, where I then saw the most beautiful arrangement of flowers, candles and pictures. Without giving too much away, he had organized a beautiful and sentimental arrangement of the ten things he loves most about me. It was simply perfect.
